Erik Poulsen (DC, PhD)

Erik PoulsenErik divides his time between research, clinical practice and teaching/ lecturing. He is a research fellow at University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark and works part time in private practice seeing patients predominantly with primary or secondary hip disorders. He received his DC from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, USA in 1989, his MSc from University of Portsmouth and Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, England in 2006 and in 2012 he completed his PhD at the University of Southern Denmark. His clinical experience is collected from working and studying in Denmark, United Kingdom and the USA and the last 12 years he has had a specific clinical and research interest in hip disorders, particularly hip osteoarthritis. He has published in a range of international peer reviewed musculoskeletal journals and last year he received the prestigious Jean Robert Research First Prize Award at the European Chiropractors Union Convention held in Dublin, Ireland.

Linda Fernandes (PT, PhD)

Linda FernandesPhysiotherapist Linda Fernandes has conducted research evaluating core management for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA) for the last decade. In her PhD project she investigated the effect of patient education and exercise in people with hip OA on patient reported outcomes, performance tests and gait analysis. Later she was the lead author for the EULAR recommendations for the non-pharmacological core management of hip and knee OA. Currently, she is involved in international research focussing on clinical algorithms along with regional projects implementing evidence-based recommendations.

Prof. Jo Nijs (PT, PhD)

Jo NijsJo Nijs holds a PhD in rehabilitation science and physiotherapy. He is associate professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Brussels, Belgium) and physiotherapist/manual therapist at the University Hospital Brussels. His research and clinical interests are patients with chronic unexplained pain / fatigue and pain-movement interactions. He has (co-)authored more than 150 peer reviewed publications, obtained over €3.5 million of grant income, supervised 6 PhD projects to completion and served more than 130 times as an invited speaker at national and international meetings. His work has been cited >1400 times (ISI Web of Knowledge).

Cancellation Policy

    You need to cancel by written notice. The date of the stamp or sent date by E-mail counts as date. If you cancel more than 6 weeks be- fore the event € 75 will be subtracted for administration costs. Up to 2 weeks before the event 50% of the fee will be refunded. If you cancel within 2 weeks of the event, there will be no refund possible.
